Sustainability starts head first

After two decades of contemplation, Mike Giles and Jeremy Bresnen finally founded ciele Athletics in 2014. They founded ciele because they couldn’t find running caps that met their need for function and style. It turns out that they were not alone in wanting stylish headwear for running - their running caps and baseball caps were so well received that the range was expanded to include other running gear.

Since their launch, ciele has become more and more sustainable in their production and strives to avoid first-use polyester where possible. Ciele currently use Repreve recycled fiber in 80% of their caps. Repreve is the world's leading recycled fibre brand that is traceable, transparent and proven to be sustainable. Ciele is constantly working on more sustainable packaging and shipping solutions. They recently got rid of plastic hang tags and started using organic packaging.
