It-Pieces made from plastic waste.

This young label with the likeable name Girlfriend Collective have triggered a hype in the USA and gained approval from the most renowned fashion editors. What we find much more impressive is that Girlfriend Collective also does extremely well in terms of sustainability. The label uses recycled materials from water bottles, fishing nets and other plastic waste to manufacture their functional leggings, tops and bras. To coin a phrase: Girlfriend Collective has managed to bring plastic bottles into vogue. We celebrate that!

Serious but fun fact: the yarn for a pair of leggings is made from 25 eco-friendly recycled PET bottles. Girlfriend Collective was founded in 2016 by wife and husband Ellie and Quang Dinh. In addition to sustainability, the two place the utmost importance on authenticity, diversity and inclusivity. This is proven by their extensive size range, unusual for a sports brand. Their website and social media images represent Girlfriend Collective’s advocacy for a colourful society.
