Hailing from Lake Wanaka in New Zealand, the Mons Royale label makes functional clothing from Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified ZQ Merino wool. The class 1 certificate guarantees the highest standard in fibre quality, animal welfare and environmental management. Due to the properties of merino wool, the pieces are especially predestined for outdoor activities. Merino is cuddly soft and warm, doesn't scratch, regulates the temperature and best of all: because the wool is naturally antibacterial, it simply doesn't stink.

Clean technologies, ecological cultivation, fair working conditions and environmentally friendly dyes are emphasised in production. Merino is biodegradable; the natural fibre breaks down into its basic natural elements and therefore does not pollute the oceans and waterways when washed or disposed of. In fact, you can even compost the merino garments!
